Famed writer/director  Jonathan  Montgomery is  trying  out  a  new romantic  Broadway musical  about  an exotic polyamorous love affair in  Constantinople in  the  1870s.  He's  cast four people he  loves,  hoping the  magic of  theater will  revive their careers  and  heal their troubled  lives.  Fate  and psychic  forces  intervene  to  thwart his  plans  in  unexpectedways,  as  the  magic  and  madness of  the  stage  does  indeed  transform  lives.  Blending the charm,  wit  and  romance  of  traditional  musical  theater  with the  fresh  irreverence  and innovation  of  contemporary musicals.  SURVIVING THE MOONLIGHT is a  paean  to  the past, present and future of the  Broadway musical.
